Tom Hanson was appointed to the San Diego & Imperial District Export Council (DEC) in 2009. DEC members support the region's U.S. Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center. In his role, Tom promotes the export of goods and services, provides expert counseling and advocacy, and opens new markets with timely advocacy and outreach for exporting companies in the region.
He is also a member of the World Trade Center San Diego, sitting on its Advocacy Committee to create a full service export development infrastructure for companies in the greater Southern California region.
